Yay! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ME! ~*
July 18 - The day before the D-day Too bad i couldn't be at Rannu's weeding in Bali. It's a little too much to ask for such a short notice. I did not have the money :P Anyway, Happy Birthday and Happy Wedding, Rannu!
But i did go to someone's weeding. My friend, Ruben, was going to play with his band on someone's wed in Bogor. Unplanned, i joined him along with Chikha and Zee. Ari was not around because she's having a weekend trip to Jogja [argh%^&@&*!!]. With a little makeover on the clothing section... [to be honest, we - Zee and i - were not prepared at all] voila! we became a "part" of the band! Good music and good food. Extremely good Zup-a-soup! and a glass of Heineken to top it off!
After the wed, we found it too difficult to lay off the night. So we decided to have a sneak peek at Public. Little that we knew that that was the last opening night for Public!!! They have closed Embassy, Wonder bar, etc. Public was the last one to go. The lot will be replaced with apartment. Too bad :(
With a little confidence, we walked to the entrance. Oops! It was invitation only kinda party! I worked on my innocent face and talked it out with the bouncer.. and voila! we were in! :D Well, we only stayed there for an hour or so. Just needed the loud music and the dance/night life ambiance that haven't been felt for quite some time. "Happy birthday" hugs and kisses were given when the clock passed 00.00. oh yeah!
July 19 - The ups and downs Started a little early in the morning. Went to church with my mom, although it's not my ideal time to pray. With an extremely sleepy head (!!!), i crashed again as soon as i got home. On my mobile, some friends sent "happy birthday" texts... very kind of them.
Still with an extremely sleepy head and not really a fine mood [since i've been waiting for certain people's wishes...], Chikha Ruben and Zee crashed my room with a cake, shouting Happy Birthday out loud! Kyaaaaaaaaa... that was the sweetest thing! *terharu - blurry eyes* T.T I shed my growing tears and sincerely thanked them :)

We said a little pray, ate the birthday cake together, then ate (this eating thing went continuously) lalapan with sambal and chicken my mom made, then ate more cake while watching Penelope. When we went to Karawaci to (originally) accompany Chikha to go on air, we (with no purpose at all!) ended eating more cakes and bakso :P More eating in the midnite... sipping fresh advocado juice and eating Nasi Goreng Keju Korned alias Juned! I never thought that we would ate so much that day!
A dear friend whose call/text have been awaited the whole day finally called me around 22.00. Two more hours to go, then i will not forgive you, girl!!! But another loved one failed to remember my birthday, as always :'(
July 20 - The closing time The initial plan was to go to Blitz and watched Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince! There was no line up for the day. Well almost all of friends have watched HP 6 on the weekend. We watched in Auditorium1, the big one. The place reminds me of Pathe, the grote zaal, and my movie adventure back in Holland. Anyway, the movie ticket worth the price of IDR 50,000 - a price that's considered quite high for Indonesian. A little note about the movie: Hermione's hair is getting better, i guess she uses hair mousse now. And Ginny.. she's taller than Harry!
The plan was accomplished with no harm done :) and I am so happy! Just a movie, a plate of Hoka-Hoka Bento, and a little chit chat before we all went home. Too bad Ari, you weren't there. It was a lovely way to spend a long weekend, indeed.

I had a hectic working day today... and i don't feel well, actually... My hands got very very cold very easily lately. Lil bit shaky now and then. Extreme dizziness sourced on the back of my head. And since everyone seems to be offline tonight, i think i should do the same. Supper. and sleep.
Ck's family prepared a small gathering barbecue/steam boat dinner [let's say: supper] yesterday :) So we were there. Ck as the host and her family, Ari, Val, Ruben, Yanto, Dede, Chemonk, Jono, Lala and Jose. *hopefully some images will come right up. at least after i get them from Lala/Jose hehehehe

Ada satu hal yang saya pelajari dari kumpul2 kemarin: "Don't play with fire if you don't want to get burn." Jangan maen api, ntar angus! But then again, i am NUMB enough. I think I can stand the pain, darlings. Dont worry.
Tiga manusia Bogor, Ruben Dede n Chemonk, menjemput saya di perempatan dekat rumah. Maklum, rumah saya di jalan buntu dan mobilnya Ruben agak terlalu panjang untuk putar balik di dekat rumah. Dari rumah saya kita meluncur menjemput Ari di daerah antah berantah yang tidak saya kenal di Tangerang. Ngelewatin "Tangerang City" lah pokoknya.
Mobil pun melaju lagi ke arah Karawaci. Beli donat sejenak somewhere along the way, lalu melaju lagi. "Hampir jam 12 nih!", katanya. Dengan agak-agak nge-drift sedikiiiiiit, kita pun sampai dengan selamat di Karawaci.
Tiba-tiba kita menengok ke arah kiri. Hmmm... sepertinya ada mobil yang kita kenal... hmmm.. tapi waktu menunjukkan jam 12 kurang 5 menit. GO GO GO! Dan sampailah kita di rumah yang dituju.
Sedikit kongkalingkong dengan Sasha, adik si penghuni rumah, dan masuklah kita rame-rame tanpa bersuara.

Setelah makan kue dan donat dan ngobrol dan saling mengejek, pulanglah kita jam 3 subuh ke rumah masing2 :)

how was my birthday? well, i actually never really celebrate my birthdays.
We went eating at hanamasa gading [about how my family get there and got back home and all the fights in between is whole another story which i am not going to spill]. "we" here means me & fam, dison, my bos & fam, and some other people. it was ok. somehow i didn't feel really hungry. suddenly my barbaric-eating behaviour was gone as i didn't feel comfortable eating without my barbaric-eating mates.
Then we ["we" here means me and dison] went to meet goldie. I got a "sex and the city" all seasons recap book from them. E said that "it's sooo you!" and considered that I am a "Carrie/samantha". I took that as a compliment and tried to prove lil samantha in me by taking advantage of one of the baristas just to get myself a free dark-mocha frappe.
Then along came cris n elis. I asked cris to join me n golda to watch a piano concert in erasmus huis that night. As i predicted, things get tough between dison n cris (i have no comment on this matter). Guess i didn't get my birthday wishes and wish at all.
Erasmus huis was a "nothing". We couldn't get in because the house was too packed. The pianist is not only extremely talented, he is good-looking and young (21!). No wonder all the girls were drawn to see him play. Boo-hoo for me.
So, i got myself a free ride to meet andy and the new gf (and some other people i didn't know) in semanggi. She turned out to be very nice. I have a good feeling for the new couple. After dinner, we took off to karaoke in Green Garden with some other people i know (jeffry, ai, yun yun). It was ok, too.
I got back home at 1.30 am. The day was good. Yet i feel something missing. I guess it is true that (sometimes) one do not want to be alone on one's birthday. It is incomplete to "celebrate" birthdays without your dearest people. It's just not right. And as for him, my birthday this year went unnoticed.. as always *sigh* That's another boo-hoo for me.
Overall, i'm looking forward to whatever things that're coming my way. And i thank you Lord for giving me one extra year on my life :)

This thought came to me on my way home. I do have a genuine birthday wish this year, something that can actually come true. I hope that dison n cris can forget their "problems" and be friends again. Hari ini, kalau saja beliau masih ada, papaku merayakan ulang tahunnya yang ke 51.
Hari ini, setahun yang lalu, keluargaku di Jakarta berkumpul semua, merayakan ulang tahun papa yang ke 50. Segalanya lebih semarak dari biasanya. Ada makanan, kado-kado, dan uniknya ada kue ulang tahun. Eyang juga datang dari Jogja.
Seakan-akan segala sesuatunya telah diatur dengan sedemikian rupa sehingga papa dapat merayakan ulang tahun (walau hanya sederhana) untuk yang terakhir kalinya.
I was miles and miles away at that time. Aku hanya bisa melihat papa dari klip2 kecil yang di ambil Lysa pake Hp atau foto2 yang kurang begitu jelas. Maklum, papa suka gengsi klo di foto, gak mau senyum... Satu hal yang jelas terbaca dari dokumentasi2 itu, papaku bahagia.
Buat apa menangis terus, karena air mata tidak akan merubah kenyataan bahwa papa tidak ada bersama aku lagi. Tapi apalah yang harus aku khawatirkan sekarang? Papa sudah jauh lebih bahagia di surga.
Hasil iseng poto2 pas ultahnya ardy tgl 30 kemaren [met ultah ya, dy!]. Ketika yang laen pada barbeque-an.. kita kurang kerjaan poto2 di koridor BG kiesel. hueh.. jadi inget dulu sering bgt mengunjungi adik2 JB saya di kamar keramat kiezel [abis katanya ada 'penunggu'nya], tapi untung saja saudara2.. tidak terjadi hal2 yang tidak diinginkan! Potonya malah bagus2 aja tuh... gue bisa kliatan putih gitu and bea kliatan cina abis [sadarlah bea akan jati dirimu!] klo citra mah normal2 aja...
